Increase revenues per user (ARPU)
No more than 10% of the average revenues per user (ARPU) is coming from data services. The other 90% represents voice and SMS, text messaging. Price erosion and continued competition in voice and SMS puts gross margins under pressure. Therefore, increasing mobile data ARPU is on the agenda of every mobile network operator or service operator these days.
Qelp is designed to educate end-users on what’s possible with their mobile phone and stimulate usage. For each topic a flowchart is made available to determine the best routing of customer or prospect through the use cases to support revenue and other business goals.
The diagram illustrates the flow within the application, in this example for mobile internet. First the end-user is shown what’s possible with mobile internet. If necessary the user is directed towards automatic or manual configuration of his mobile phone to ensure the right settings are in place. Then education follows with examples of mobile internet sites, how to navigate the mobile internet, how to save bookmarks/favourites and so on. At the end of the use case the user is presented the option to upgrade to for example a data bundle or special offer. In case of troubles with settings that cannot be resolved through a use cases, the customer is directed to FAQs of the mobile operator, an email form or the call center.
Qelp provides end-users literally visual insight in applications, benefits, pros and cons of new services through online demos and tutorials. It makes it easier to demonstrate new applications and steer the customer towards a mobile phone with higher ARPU potential. Show handset or network features, enable online try-and-buy.
